"Ed Brown, North East Beds' parliamentary candidate for Labour, told the meeting (calling for improved access at Biggleswade Railway Station) that around 1000 people had signed a petition." He said, "Its not just about disabled people ... "

Organiser Doris
"On the monthly street stall, Labour members have engaged with the public in a number of ways .... involving issues such as .... the Bedford Borough Council's review of education .... House of Lords reform .... and support for the Post Office."

Guest speaker Kelvin Hopkins gave a rousing speech for which he was presented with a copy of the portrait of Kier Hardy that adorns the wall of the Labour Hall.
